Park City, Utah, criminal defense attorney Jessica Peterson was busy from the moment she started unpacking her bags. A former public defender with the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association, Jessica had been working for many years in Washington D.C. on criminal justice issues. Returning to the Salt Lake City area to found J. Peterson Law, PLLC, her reputation preceded her. Her Utah criminal defense practice was immediately busy, and The Modern Firm quickly got to work establishing a web presence for Jessica's new law firm.

The site features an easily accessible list of common criminal offense charges a defendant may face in Utah. Perhaps most importantly, it highlight's Jessica's mission in serving defendants: there are plenty of good criminal defense attorneys out there, but she encourages each client to work with an attorney whose goals and approach best suit their needs. The J. Peterson Law mission statement makes Jessica's approach clear:
