Hooper Hathway is a full-service law firm providing broad-based commercial and litigation services to clients. The firm's offices are located in an historic Ann Arbor building, just steps away from The Modern Firm's own office.

The building where the firm's offices are located is on a site that was part of the original village of Ann Arbor, dating back to 1824. The present building includes the front built in 1866, when an older building was replaced after the Civil War. Over the years, the building housed a dry goods store owned for many years by the Muehlig family, a business college, and a barbershop. The law firm purchased the building and moved into it in 1981.

The firm is not only located in an historic building — it has a legacy of its own. The firm's deep roots in the community date back to 1895. The firm and its predecessor firms have been serving Ann Arbor for more than 120 years.

The firm provides a full range of services to its clients. Practice areas cover almost every conceivable legal need, such as corporate governance, criminal defense, personal injury, estate planning, and many other services.

The website design capitalizes on the historic nature of the firm and of the building where it is located, by using both old and new photos of the building on the home page. The firm's About page includes a wonderful history about the building and the importance of the site to Ann Arbor's history. The website structure includes all the information prospective clients need: Attorney bios, details about practice areas, and two different news sections.
