Although The Modern Firm's mission is to build awesome websites for small law firms, we also work with other professionals in law-related fields from time to time. We really enjoyed working with — and learning about — the vocational experts at VECTOR, Inc. this summer.
Vocational analysis is a fascinating field. And vocational experts can act as critical members of either plaintiff's or defense teams in the context of personal injury claims. In short, vocational reports or testimony add precision to economic damages calculations. They examine individual plaintiffs and estimate their vocational trajectories, based on the most comprehensive and up-to-date relevant industry data.
VECTOR, Inc. has a long reputation for providing vocational analysis and expert testimony in California. VECTOR President, Richard Andersen, has over 40 years' experience in vocational rehabilitation — and has supported both plaintiffs and defendants in cases ranging from worksite accidents to high profile lawsuits like Rodney King's suit against the City of Los Angeles.
The Website
"Economic Damages — The Vocational Element"
The vocational expert is the vital link between the physician and economist to precisely determine past and future economic damages.
Let's get right to the crux of this new website. I mean, yes it has a great explanation of what VECTOR does, as well as great profiles of its in-house team. FAQs, Richard Andersen's CV, and the group's fee structure are easily accessed and take the guesswork out of the equation for legal teams looking for vocational analysis. But what really sets the site apart is its presentation of VECTOR's case studies.
VECTOR came to The Modern Firm with a vision for presenting their many successful case studies, based on types of injuries, types of accidents, and types of plaintiffs. We worked with them to hone that vision and create an extremely user friendly page from which potential clients can access the most relevant studies. Each individual study includes a synopsis — complete with comments from the involved attorney — as well as a downloadable pdf describing the matter in detail.
