Lauren joined The Modern Firm at our Michigan hub after moving back to the Ann Arbor area from California with her husband and daughter to be closer to family. Before entering the world of online marketing and social media, she graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Environmental Geology and Chemical Engineering. She decided she did not want to work at a chemical plant and later wore many hats in different fields — including serving as an assistant winemaker at a small family winery in Northern California, where she also coordinated marketing and communications.
Lauren is a great asset for our clients because her background includes work not just with a variety of technology and web applications, but with our favorite folks: lawyers. She's a 3-year veteran of Michigan's well-respected Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), where she assisted with customer service, among other things.
As The Modern Firm's Marketing Assistant, Lauren employs her attention to detail and near-obsessive organization skills to keep all of the marketing projects and customer files on track. From setting up business listing pages to monitoring search engine use, Lauren makes sure the marketing department runs smoothly and has room to scale up.
Lauren is definitely a flexible, agile worker who is always up for new challenges. But this doesn't just apply to marketing. More than just your average off-hours athlete, she ran in her first half marathon dressed as a member of a Star Trek away team. (She was the “red shirt,” but returned without injury). She has also tried her hand at the sports of curling and pickle ball — and briefly dreamed of going to the Olympics for the Skeleton.
