Attorney Karen S. Gerstner has concentrated her solo practice in estate planning and probate law for more than 40 years. In 2024, her daughter Libby Mosher joined the firm after working in a large corporate law firm. Together, the two lawyers serve the comprehensive estate planning and estate and trust administration needs of clients throughout the Houston, Texas region. The firm’s estate and trust administration practice includes probate, trust administration, and post-death tax planning and compliance.
Karen’s credentials demonstrate her exceptional achievements in the firm’s practice areas. She is Board-Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, an accomplishment recognized as an expert’s expert. In addition, Karen is widely recognized for her expertise relating to estate planning for retirement plan benefits.
The law firm is dedicated to providing the highest level of service in helping clients plan estates and navigate the challenging post-death process, taking into account the client’s unique needs and desires and recognizing the highly personal character of the legal processes.

The clients approached The Modern Firm requesting help with a new website to replace an existing website that was considerably outdated. Adding a new attorney to the firm was the perfect time to replace the site with a modern one reflecting the new composition of the firm as well as the firm’s strengths and legal service offerings.
The most important goal for the new website — in addition to a fresh, contemporary design — was emphasizing the extensive experience and credentials of the attorneys, as well as providing detailed information about the practice. The clients worked closely with the TMF design team in creating a visually appealing website that provides site visitors with all the information they need about the attorneys and practice. The clients are especially pleased that the site is mobile responsive and that the custom WordPress content management system enables them to update information on the website easily.
