Not many attorneys can say they’ve worked on a garbage truck. Sean Connolly, owner of Connolly Law Office, P.C., in Westmont, Illinois, is one of the few who can, and it shaped his legal career (stick with us).  Working for Waste Management in college, Sean learned about the legal consequences for overweight trucks. When he became a lawyer, he included overweight truck defense among his practice areas, along with DUI/criminal defense, real estate, and others.

Sean was a former client of The Modern Firm, but the last few iterations of his website were done by acquaintances. He wanted to position himself as the “go-to” attorney for overweight truck defense, and decided the time was right to invest again in a professional website designed to achieve his goals.

Early in the website design process, Sean sat down with some of The Modern Firm’s team members to talk about his law firm branding. That kickoff call gave the team an opportunity to do a deep dive into Sean’s history, the firm as it exists, and Sean’s vision for the future.  

Sean’s aspiration to be the attorney that his target clients think of first for overweight truck issues became part of his brand platform. Understanding his goals allowed everyone working on Sean’s website to keep his state priorities top of mind and “row in the same direction” when creating the site.
