Congrats to attorney Warren ("Gene") Cox on the launch of the inaugural website for CoxFedLaw, LLC. Mr. Cox has a fascinating background, with extensive experience with international trade, litigation, and federal agency operations. After early work as a Russian translator in a National Security Agency listening post in the former West Berlin, he become a litigator with a prominent national law firm, traveling to Moscow to participate in negotiations regarding international business matters. Mr. Cox subsequently entered government service, acting as both Circuit Defense Counsel and Circuit Trial Counsel in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate (JAG) in Germany and the United States. He then accepted a position as associate counsel in the Office of the Inspector General at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Now in private practice, Mr. Cox brings his experience to bear in representing a broad range of international clients on export controls law, on compliance with — and defense of charges related to — the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as with regard to other federal laws and charges. He also represents sovereign governments and private companies in trade disputes that fall under the jurisdiction of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The elegant attorney website design highlights Mr. Cox's areas of practice, his background, and a range of resources on federal and international law, including a blog. Photographs of Washington D.C. complement and offset the text.
