Ferguson Widmayer PC was founded in 1991 by Ann Arbor attorneys Larry Ferguson and Warren Widmayer — who shared "a commitment to creative tax, estate and benefits planning." The firm lost Larry Ferguson to cancer in 2013, but conscientiously continues to advance his vision and ethical approach to law.
The firm's considerable expertise starts with estate planning and business succession, extending to estate settlement, employee benefits law, and employment/business law.
Since 1998, the firm has operated from Ann Arbor's historic Henry Cornwell house on North Division Street, which form's the basis for the firm's logo.
The Henry Cornwell house couldn't make a better graphic focus for a law firm website. Following the firm's vision, The Modern Firm's web designers centered the home page entirely on a gorgeous photo of the old house. Interior pages feature elements of the main photo, as well as interior details of the structure.
